Todays creation

Matching dresses for a friends dear little children.
I had so much fun sewing on corduroy, and using my new Bernina invisible zipper foot.  It is AMAZING what the right tool can do for a job!  I have been using my regular zipper foot to insert zips ever since I got over  my zipper phobia.   But the ease of insertion and the smooth finish I got with the heavy metal Bernina foot had me singing with joy!

  1. Beautiful! Those two will look beautiful in them! Great job!

  2. The dresses are darling and I am encouraged to read that you had zipper phobia at one time. I too suffer from this malady and look forward to the possibility of deliverance! :)

    Blessings, Debbie

  3. Yes Debbie, do not fear the invisible zipper! I just searched on You Tube for videos on how to insert one, and watched them until I knew what I was doing. At that time I used a regular zipper foot that I had ironed as flat as possible, and it worked all right. But my invisible zipper foot is 150% better! I would highly recommend the investment. But then again, I can only speak for my 1980's Bernina and its army boot strength metal invisible zipper foot.
I still have regular zipper phobia. All of that basting and sewing...blegh. I am totally converted to the religion of the invisible zipper :o)
